You need to understand that you can’t find results, outcomes, success, championships, victories, or any other word you may want to use, if you don’t have planting time.

I get off balance sometimes during my day. I’m off balance because I lost myself in me. Always when I’m trying to solve things that aren’t in my control.
Often times is hard to get back on track. A mix of feelings… frustrated, lost, angry, lonely, sad… lots of stuff happening at the same time.
All because I lose myself starting from this simple cue.

If you are running a study plan someone built for you, make sure you follow the process, at least in the beginning.
I’m like that. I usually follow a structure, but after some cycles I start to develop one of my own.
A syllabus will tell you basic things you need to understand, and will guide you to some specific sort of knowledge, skillset or even a certification path. That’s where I usually change paths.

Have you set something you have to do? Do it.
Are you thinking about something you need to do? Nothing is actually happening. And maybe you are becoming anxious about it. Write down what you need to remember, and drop that thought.
But in whatever case, do not underestimate your schedule.

Simplicity–the art of maximizing the amount of work not done–is essential.
— The Agile ManifestoThis was mind blowing as I was learning about this thing called agility and extreme programming.

You can postpone some dreams and projects, but sometimes we are moving things away to some point in time where we can’t actually figure when it is going to happen.
This is not right, right?
I mean, we should be able to define some sort of checkpoint. Sometimes we can’t even cancel stuff, because we are waiting something.

I think about grit as long term commitment to something. I see grit as having joy to the effort being done.
It’s not about repetition. It’s about real life experiences, changing pace, structure, complexity and so on.
And all that with rhythm. That’s where grace comes in.

I’m sure we need to start with a reason, but we also need options.
I like to think I have options. At least two or three.
If I have more options, even better. The hard part is taking responsibility for the choice.
