As if selling is a habit. It may be. So, I think I can try that.
Don’t know how, yet.
It’s not that I don’t sell, but I know I oversell a lot.
Also, I’m not into scarcity triggers, figuring out other approaches to sell my stuff. I have a lot on demand stuff to sell. Need to find ways to deliver that.
I also must say that, if I could, I would do everything related to my learning and writing and lectures for free. Well, the idea to have crowdfunding projects in English and in Portuguese are kinda for this purpose (still building this path). So, I know that this path can become true. But, I need to find real ways to sell this service or this purpose.
Seth Godin says this:
“Learn to sell what you’ve made. Say thank you in writing. Speak in public. Fail often. See the world as it is. Make predictions.” — Seth Godin
In my case, I teach people. I write daily. I see great people and I connect them.
And I’m on my way to lead tribes, using a Community of Practice structure.
I understand I need to find a better way to show people what I’m about and to bring people together. Also need to understand:
- Who is my minimum viable audience?
- Understand products and services that I should prioritize.
- Engage with possible customers and companies that can hire my services.
- Keep current customers engaged in order to buy again or create some sort of recurring revenue (subscription model).
This is not something easy. And most important. Make money with what’s in place. Later, with revenue created and profit available, build extra layers in order to provide better service. Make sure feedback is in place from real customers.
Let’s see how I will run this process. Wish me luck.
