Good for you.
Remember Agile is just a set of principles, values and practices that came from knowledge management, lean thinking and systems thinking. Nothing new at all!
Problems are still problems, before and after 2001, when the term Agile was “coined“.
And remember you can always use quality principles from ISO 9001, if you con’t like Agile:
- Customer focus, cause we want to take care of customers requirements and expectations.
- Leadership, that embrace a vision and unity of purpose.
- Engagement of people, empower people to create and deliver value.
- Process approach, because we want consistent results.
- Improvement, this is an ongoing focus.
- Evidence-based decision making. Start being data informed to evaluate and make good decisions.
- Relationship management. What are the companies or teams you need to consider as “interested parties“?
Just pick metaphors that can help you to drive the results you are seeking. In my case, uncertainty, innovation and value for craft and art are a basic in my process.
