Go! Do it! Just do it? And two days later check the mess you just did.

I’m a fan of the done manifesto.
But you need a little bit of a structure to start a project.

I was thinking about “the minimum viable mess“.

  • How a new need starts to get solved?
You need someone to lead. And people who will work together. And what they need to start working.
  • What are the standards?
Based on this, you got paths about what can be done. If you get stuck, a road is needed.
  • What is the roadmap?
If people are free to do something, what can be done?
  • If you have questions, who will answer?
Where do you ask questions? Who are specialists in place?
Where is the current Q&A? Who will keep stuff updated?
  • How to you onboard someone? The welcome kit.
How do you offboard someone? The let it go kit.
How do you move work from someone to someone else? The move people around drill.
  • How do you define quality? I’m sure it’s not optional.
How do you define done? What are the acceptant tests needed to move on a task and finish it?

Simple, but not simple at all.
