Creativity and Realism = Reactivity?

Let’s look at the definition of reactivity, according to wikipedia: “…the chemical reactions of two or more substances that interact with each other…“. And of course, I’m using a definition that can help me talk about creativity and realism as two types of substances that can create a reaction?

You can be as creative as you want… but soon you will need to face reality. I believe we need a good balance with the two elements. If you have a lot of realism and no creativity… you may have a great story to tell, but you don’t know how to tell it. The same goes for the opposite. You can have great ways to tell about your story… but if it sucks, it doesn’t matter. Nothing will happen.

If you plan to be creative and forget about reality, nothing will happen. Inside your head the world may be beautiful… but in reality there’s a lot going on. We need to make sure we are learning to live with reality.

This is related to:

  • entering production mode.
  • publication.
  • launch.

We can find different types of words to tell about what we are looking for. We are seeking real life.

Reality is always the best place to be when we are deliver our art. We can understand what’s happening. We can learn from the reality and with people who consume our art.
